The History of Sarner Holz

The history of Sarner Holz is an impressive evolution from a local craft business to an innovative, internationally operating family enterprise.

The roots go back to the year 1917, when a farm including a simple, water-powered farmer's sawmill was acquired in the Dick hamlet in the Sarntal / Val Sarentino.

The official founding of Sarner Holz KG took place in 1962. Under the leadership of co-founder Alfons Kemenater, dynamic expansion began:

Since the company's founding in 1962 by Alfons Kemenater, Sarner Holz has evolved from a simple sawmill into an innovative, internationally active family business with over 180 employees. Under the current management of the Kemenater brothers, in-house refinement and infrastructure have been continuously modernized to guarantee the highest quality from the Sarntal / Val Sarentino.
