The scantlings are glued in accordance with DIN EN 204 D4 — optionally also with PU adhesive — and are IFT-certified. The timber comes from PEFC-compliant sources; we also supply Holz von Hier certified timber to Northern Italy, Austria, Bavaria, and Baden-Württemberg.

Window Planks for Every Application
Scantlings for Wooden Windows
Traditionally, we work with 3-layer scantlings that we produce and distribute in fixed lengths.
- The outer layers are visually premium and provide a beautiful appearance.
- The core layer or middle layer stabilizes the component and reduces tension and warping.
This DKD or DKKD construction is standard in window manufacturing because it offers an excellent balance of stability, aesthetics, and economy.
D+DK for Wood-Aluminium Windows
For particularly deep wood/aluminium window profiles, especially for sashes, we have something special: D+DK scantlings. Even with very demanding and modern profiles, no finger joints are visible anywhere.
Since the middle layer is visible through the deep profiles and window pane position, this layer is executed in D quality. The inner-facing outer layer is 3-sided defect-free, creating an absolutely perfect appearance.
Scantlings for Wood-Aluminium Windows
In wood-aluminium windows, the exterior is protected by the aluminium shell. Therefore, no visually perfect outer layer is needed there. This results in special constructions for frames and sashes, such as DKK or DKKK.
Advantages:
- Frame in DKK construction: More cost-effective than DKD, as no premium outer layer is needed on the outside
- Excellent static properties
Special Scantlings
We also offer lift-slide door profiles, post-and-beam timber up to 4 meters, and other special constructions with continuous outer layers. Request now!
