Whether knot-free, with sound knots, flat-sawn, or rift / half-rift; whether larch, stone pine, or local spruce: thanks to our in-house drying kilns and vacuum chambers, we can supply the wood at the required moisture content.

For the often requested reclaimed wood character, a steaming chamber is also available.

The wood species

At Sarner Holz, all sawn timber comes from PEFC-certified forests. This means that the trees are managed sustainably, the forests are cared for, and natural resources are conserved.

With PEFC-certified timber, you can be sure that your material is not only high-quality and durable, but also environmentally responsible. For us, sustainability and quality go hand in hand.

Spruce

Our number one wood species
Spruce has a light, even wood with a fine grain. It grows quickly and is easy to work with, making it ideal for construction projects, interior fit-outs, or furniture.
What makes Sarner Holz special: our spruce comes exclusively from alpine growing regions, with particularly attractive grain, excellent properties, and a very good price-performance ratio.

Swiss stone pine

For a natural look, feel, and sense of well-being.
Swiss stone pine is a soft, aromatic wood with a light, reddish-golden tone. It stands out for its pleasant scent, good thermal insulation, and natural regulation of air humidity, making it ideal for furniture and interior fit-outs.
What makes Sarner Holz special: our Swiss stone pine comes from PEFC-certified, sustainably managed forests and is processed with great care — for natural quality with character.

Larch

Simple. Special. Durable.
Larch stands out for its reddish-brown colour and high resistance. It is durable and resistant to moisture, making it perfect for outdoor use or load-bearing structures.
